Developing your knowledge and skills
If your company is being held back because your people need development in their management skills,
we can provide training or hands-on coaching to release your productive potential.
To meet the demands of a competitive environment you need to release the greatest possible productivity from your people. This can be achieved
through training and coaching that is relevant, expertly presented and supported with a great depth of knowledge.
Our formal courses are certificated, so you have evidence of achievement for the company's portfolio of skills.
Quoted contracts and ad hoc arrangements are available to provide you with the appropriate level of support. In all these areas we are able to provide
experience and hands-on involvement as required to ensure that you get the result you need.
Selecting the best option
- Open courses are generally cheaper for up to three delegates (charged at a rate-per-person). But in-house courses
usually work out cheaper for more than three, as they are charged at a cost per day regardless of attendance for up to about ten people. This
means that if you have three people booked, any others are entirely free.
- Open courses take place at public venues, which you may find less convenient than your own premises or your own, preferred location. In-house course arrangements can
therefore be more flexible. There is a link further down this page to our list of preferred venues.
- Open courses share the instructor's time and opportunity for questions with delegates from other companies. In-house courses provide
you with the instructor's undivided attention, which can be used to discuss private issues and assist in team building. However, open courses
allow delegates to share the benefit of questions asked from the perspectives of different organisations.
- Open courses depend on pre-determined dates, and sufficient applications to make them economically viable. In-house courses can take place
at any mutually convenient time, including out-of-office hours.
- The subject matter of our courses is such that they bite deeply into the nature of our customers' organisations. Different organisations therefore find
different topics of particular interest, and may wish to pursue them in greater depth. We therefore find that in-house courses are much
more popular, even for low numbers of delegates.
Short courses

Extended courses
Where you need more training than is covered by our short courses, we can provide further training and/or coaching to suit your particular needs. This is structured to cover those topics that are relevant to your business needs and budget. By this means we can focus your training to provide the best
possible value for money, and ensure it is delivered in a way that is most suited to your situation.
Coaching
We would expect to provide you with coaching as part of a support programme. For example, in helping you to implement an ISO standard, or a Lean programme, we would
ensure that you understand the principles so that you can progress the initiative on your own after our support period finishes. We call this "knowledge transfer",
and regard it as an important part of our work.
Our support progrrammes are detailed on other pages of this web site.
Grant support
Many of our SME customers get up to 50% grant support through several regional development agencies.
The money comes to you, not to us, but we can help you find out where to look for support.
